      T5 ballast

Could you run a 48in(54w) bulb on a 36inch (39w) ballast? I have a retro fit kit with 2 39w bulbs but would like to change one bulb out to a 48in(54w) bulb because of the way my tank is designed i would like more coverage. So one 48in and 36in bulb on a 39w ballast.

Just guessing but doesn’t sound like it would be a good idea, bulbs would probably draw more than the ballast is capable of producing, most likely affecting light output.
