      Proven aptasia eater for rent?

Anyone got a proven aptasia eater for rent? I’ve tried nudibranchs, peppermints, killing them with kalk paste but they keep increasing.

No long term room for a copper banded, or file fish as I’m happy with my current fish and nitrate levels plus I’m worried they’ll move on to my torches and euphyllia...

So who’s got a proven eater I can borrow or rent?

Copperband and file fish are the only proven solutions.

And even if you do find one they really need to be long term inhabitants. I had a really bad aptasia problem and my cobberband wiped them out. Even to this day they will still pop up and he takes care of them in short order.

He has never touched any of my corals. I know for a fact he will devour feather dusters and claims but everything else he is good with. That is just mine though, I know people that had them go straight for coral.

Copperband and filefish are proven to aiptasia, but not guaranteed. Humans are proven to eat vegetables too but not all do🤣

If nudibranchs haven’t worked for you, you’re doing something wrong. Either your water parameters are off or you’re introducing the nudis incorrectly. Because those have to work 100% of the time. Aiptasia is their ONLY source of food. Literally only source. I would get in touch with a better supplier for nudis if you haven’t done so. Nudis will eat aiptasia and grow until they can’t find anymore. Then they die

The only thing that I done and it works 💯 percent. Break down your tank start all over. I done it before twice!

I can’t stand aptasia very difficult to get rid of! Not impossible but man it’s a pain.. I can’t stand them I usually will break down my tank and start fresh.. Yes if I see them in my tank I will break it down.😂🤣
Not for everyone but this works for me.

Pest free for a few years now. I’m very careful on what I put in my tank always check corals very carefully.

      Good luck!

What type of fish are in your tank. If you have wrasses those nudi's make a tasty meal. I tried them also but they turned out to be an expensive wrasse treat.

This was my experience as well, berghias have been by far the best solution and I've had some spot on CBB's, but as mentioned, they can't get to everything like berghias. But yeah, guess not so great for wrasse keepers.

      July Conversation reviving.

Are the Nudi's ok with a Squirrelfish? He ate all my peppemint shrimp. Can't find CBB anywhere. Bought some dirty rock off this site, came with a starving CBB, it died, guess what grew back. A forest. About to dump that section of the tank soon. Will those nudis mow down a forest?
