Lost a great "Fish Guy" last Month - RIP Bob Fenner

He lived in San Diego, came to a couple SD Reefs events back in the day, it was a big deal, this was the person to talk to for hours. Spoke at several SDMAS events if I recall.

With all this Covid nonsense his passing was lost.

Bob was a part of SDMAS events through last year (even hosting them). We were very lucky to have Mr. Fenner as a part of our SD community and I can’t say enough about his contributions to the diving community and this hobby we are all so passionate about.

I know there have been social media posts and threads on other forums discussing his generosity, kindness, and overall enthusiasm for sharing his knowledge. There may have been a brief thread here as well, but it deserves being brought up again.

Marine Depot changed the main header on their site in remembrance and put together an excellent tribute post. Here is the link if you’d like to read it.

Forgive me, I have been "away" from the hobby for a few years as we all go on walk-a-bouts from time to time. I ran across his obit a while back and remember talking to him on several occasions thinking what a great job and natural passion.

Thought I would give him a shout out here, he did a lot for the hobby.
