      Purple tang pricing

Is it me or did prices of purple tangs skyrocket? Does anybody know if there is a reason for this? I was just wondering

Basically costs more to ship & less availability. Couple of threads addressing the jump on r2r including this one: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/35...rs-den.724631/

I understand shipping cost more now but it jumped from $120-$375. I guess if they aren’t available it would cost more but that’s a pretty huge jump in price

I’ve noticed a huge price jump at the wholesale level across the board. Also, the amount of on-hand stock is probably less than 1/4 of normal

That was years ago, this is a fairly new issue on top of not too long ago restrictions.

Every LFS has said same thing, shipping just started again and they only have so much cargo room allotted for our hobby, and shipping prices have skyrocketed as a result.
Bottom line if you want it now you're going to have to pay for it, or wait till things and prices come back to normal(hopefully back to what it was...kinda like many things once they get you used to paying higher prices often they don't go quite back to normal)

This isn't helping our LFS much on staying in business, I'm doing what I can to support our local sources, every little bit helps, support your local fish stores when you can.
