      Chiller- Prime Current LOUD

Hey guys, I got a Prime Current chiller used off the forum. When running it makes a super loud chatter noise. Is this just how they are or do I need to tighten or adjust something internally?

I got the same one and depending on how it’s sitting in my stand it can be pretty loud. But maybe you can get some sound dampening or soundproofing foam to put it on top of?

I have it on the carpet. It sounds like it's coming from something internally spinning. Possibly the fan?

Can you take off the cover and then run it to see what's up?

Try to differentiate if the sound is coming from the compressor vrs the fan. If it’s the compressor, no idea there..

Check the fan to make sure nothing is hitting as it spins

Make sure the fan blades are clean

The fan axle may need lubrication

After getting in there I realized the noise was the fan scraping the radiator as it spins!
