      RIP Bob Fenner

Just happened to read a FB post from a former SDMAS/SDR hobbyist that the legendary and also San Diegan Bob Fenner passed early this morning. His book the Conscientious Marine Aquarist was the first marine aquarium book I ever read and likely should be for everyone that wants to get into the hobby. If you ever attended an aquarium conference odds are likely you ran into Bob or saw him speak. Bobs impact on the hobby will never be forgotten.

Wow shocking! RIP to a legend- had the privilege to attend & meet him at a couple speaking events. His written & spoken words had such a positive influence on my reef keeping skills. I wish his family and friends well & my condolences~ RIP to a nem’s hero~

What a loss. Unfortunately I never had the privilege of meeting him in person, but his impact on our hobby has been huge.

Yeah I saw that too, bob was an entertaining person with lots of knowledge, I was at a few of the meetings where I heard his speeches.
