Has anyone used Scripps water during red tide? I need to get some, but a little worried.
I know this is not the place for this post, but will get best traction.

Hi bro
I used it 3 days ago
Nothings wrong
Only smell abit
Thanks
I just went there today and man the water smelled really really bad.
I will probably try again next week.
KhaiHuy, good to know the water is working okay.
Iv been there a few times within the last week and completed a large volume water change (100 gallons) on my tank and had no issues. I would recommend testing the water to make sure it stays consistent with what parameters your running in your tank.
Just went to get 10 galns to cycle rock and the water is horrible you can smell the tide when 52 heads up into la jolla water is brown and stinks horrible guys dont use in your reefs right now.

Run it thru a diatom filter and call it a day
Has anyone been back to Scripps recently? Has water situation improved?
I could smell the rot from the freeway 5 yesterday. So I would say no. I have been using Scripps water for more than 20 years. This is the worse I have ever seen. When the water in your tank smells better than the water you are adding to your tank, its not worth the water change. Not worth the risk.

Avoid at all cost!! That stuff is killing all sea life, it’s low on oxygen and dead algae, you will regret it! Get drinking water and mix your own? Fish and crustaceans are dying all over the place, that’s part of the stench.
Has anybody recently used the water a scripps pier? If so was the red the visible..
Thanks!
Got some today. It’s clean and no more smell!
