Max weight for canopy / SCA 150 gal

Anyone have any experience with canopies for a 150 gallon SCA tank?
Finally getting around to building it and wondering how much weight it can take?
Does the weight have to be on the outer/vertical glass? or can it reast on the inner/euro brace glass?

I would contact the manufacturer, to make sure you get accurate info

I would not place the weight on the euro bracing, outer perimeter would be my choice.
I always try to keep it light, but they can hold a decent amount of weight, but I don't have an exact number.
I've seen some pretty bulky/heavy canopies on tanks many times, don't recall any failures from weight alone w/ typical fixtures we use.
I personally keep an open top canopy, but that is mainly to keep heat to a minimum and allow gas exchange, but many people do enclose.
I use wood cleats that sit on rim of tank.

This pic shows how I typically use cleats, and there are other canopies on this page if you click that may give some ideas.

Thanks Dave... SCA ironically finally got back. They said 100 lbs on the outer and 80 lbs on the euro brace.
      Nice work btw.

Thanks, and thanks for those numbers.
I'm kinda surprised they advise that much on the euro(I still would not feel likely to do that myself) and I've seen people push beyond that on the outer rim(not that I'd advise going against their numbers)

My canopies are about 30-40lbs max plus fixture.

It's probably obvious to you and most but make sure no screws or metal fasteners come in contact w/ glass edges...
