      Help rewiring a led light

Anyone on here able to help me or help guide me on rewiring and Chinese led fixture. I want to connect it to my apex. I believe the apex is 0-10v output. When checking my fixture I have 122v going to the leds... I am not very electrical savvy so help would be gratefully appreciated... I was reading some about it and I believe it is a pwm module which I believe doesnt use a transformer... (but not sure). You can text me at 619-857-2225

Post the best pictures of all that you have for the project including equipment labels.

I will when I get home... probably should have done that before posting.

I’d imagine a relay could be implemented. The apex could actuate the control side of the relay in the 0-10v range and the output side would feed main voltage to the leds. It’s a relatively simple job and is pretty much how DIY ato systems work.

Yes I did a bunch of research before I posted this morning but I'm still kinda at a loss of what i would need relay wise. I will post pictures later.

Alright it's been a long day but heres the pictures. I also did some more testing and found that before the dimmers I have 12v so I do have a relay/transformer... so a little more about the light it is wifi controllable but the app sucks. It has a manual mode which makes it to where the user can dim and brighten as you please. Pictures to follow.

      Help rewiring a led light

I’d start by connecting the apex 10v power leads to the 12v dimmer port, bypassing the 12v harness from the ac/dc converter. Even though it’s reading 12v at that port, it may only need 10v to actuate the board and allow the 125v to flow to the leds. It’s worth a try and if it doesn’t work, you’re only real option then is to add a relay that’ll actuate at 10v to control the 125v to the leds. This would have to be spliced into the wires that lead directly to the leds so the light fixture will remain on clock/function wise but with no light output until you switch that aspect on with the apex.
