      Fluval 206 filter problem

I got a brand new fluval 206, i connected the hoses, one of them was too long, so i cut it, but the side that was in the fluval rubber piece won't come out, it literally bonded with the rubber, is this normal? This is the stupidest design ive seen on any filter, ive tried every way to take it out and its impossible, the rubber is starting to crack.
Im trying to post pics but i havent been on here so long i dont even know how

I was able to make it work, but yeah i figured out that connector i was trying to take off is not supposed to come off, i guess its glued, i got confused and thought it was off before and i put it on but it was always there. Sounds confusing but yeah got to it to work lol

Hahaha. Happens all the time. I picked up my tank today thinking it was far enough away from the wall and it wasn’t. Chipped the glass!!! Grrr I was so upset. Glad you got your filter going.
