      Skelator Moray Not Eating

My skelator moray just stopped eating all of a sudden. Nothing has changed with my temp or levels in the past 2 months. I haven't added any new coral or fish either. He was eating about 1 costco size shrimp every 3-4 days and was doing great. A little concerned that he has gone this long without eating. I've tried shrimp, clams, squid, octopus and still nothing. He's still active and moving around within the rocks. He's about 2.5 years old.

has anybody dealt with this before with this species?

You forgot to let us know when he stopped consuming items?

Sorry it’s been about under 2 months roughly.

Have you tried silversides? May also consider a couple drops of garlic on the food. Other than that maybe live feeder fish? I had a golden moray for a couple years that retrained me a couple times- he liked thawed silversides then rod’s predator food pieces. Good luck! Is he emaciated or is he eating elsewhere? (live snails & shrimp are likely targets)

Think what makes us stop eating? Digestive issues, stress, & yes depression.

An eel can go for months without consuming a meal. I'd starve it for a few days.

Here is a helpful thread. Please keep us updated?
