      Mixing temp help

What temperature is everyone mixing there red Sea Coral pro salt at? Just mixed 10 gallons of fresh salt water and alkalinity was 7.7 and calcium 410. The instructions say mix at 68 Fahrenheit. I mixed at 70 Fahrenheit. Dint think it would have that bad effect on perspiration.

Over the years I have mixed water (in 50g increments) with water temps ranging from 47* to 96*.

      Never specifically noticed a difference

It always has a negative effect on my perspiration whilst avoiding precipitation.

You want to mix it without heat. The Red Sea salt with react to heat causing the water to cloud. Mix then heat

Thank you all for response. Mixed new batch this morning at room temperature and all is good. Parameters are all good now. Thank you again.

I always fill a brute trashcan with R/O, add salt and drop in a powerhead/bubble stone over night. The next morning I add a heater and when it gets up to temp, I do the water change.

Not sure if it is related or not but salt buckets can settle and additives (alk boosters) can sift towards the bottom of the bucket. One thing to consider if you haven’t is giving the salt a good stir.
