I would look closely to ensure it isn’t Bryopsis, rather than actual Green Hair Algae.
They look very similar, but traditional steps you would take to get rid of most algae’s (limiting light and nutrients) tend to NEVER kill it. You have to nuke it with Flucanazole.
Bryopsis was completely unheard of until ~4 years ago. Somewhere in the wild it must have taken hold and starting growing exponentially.. seemingly overnight nearly EVERY fish store had it in their systems.. and then shortly afterward customers had it in their aquariums.. I’ve had to treat ~25 tanks for Bryopsis in the last couple years
