You could also bring cash if you don't want to send it friends and family? Why should the seller pay the fees for the laziness of someone else not wanting to stop at the bank, or from someone who's buying stuff using their PayPal linked credit card?

If you're doing a face to face transaction, there's no reason to not send it friends and family if you didn't bring cash.

This is all sort of funny or maybe par coming from people that sell here and don’t even pay a $25 yr membership fee. Used gear off a broken down tank not seen running told to pay friends & family? No thanks. It’s true credit cards have the final say but guess what one of their first questions is? I am saying this from first hand experience. Also- I have never seen anyone outright tell people to pay that way. I stand by my statement that it is bad form and will not be giving anymore bumps to this thread so if you’re still grumbly or want curse at me for calling all this out do it 1x1.

It's considered bad form among all reef sites to discuss anything other than interest in purchasing what is being sold, period.

Ohio/Shaun has been a stellar member here on this site and has gone way beyond in helping many here, so why hijack his post?

It's bad enough someone puts so much time, money and effort into their tank and then have to break down, no need to add salt to the wound.

Gladly paid in full through PayPal friends. Thank you for the huge pull of equipment Shaun. Basically got a whole system minus the tank today.

I don’t see what the problem is paying someone FF if you don’t bring cash? I see the argument against it just in case someone pulls some shady stuff, but are SD reefers really that dishonest?

As a buyer, I won't send FF to someone I don't feel I can trust... But then, I'm the one that pays the fee.

When buying equipment, always check and test before you take it.

Very true. I have dealt with this issue with another reefer on here before. In fact, he is one of the first reefers to post on this particular thread.
I purchased multiple items from said reefer (when I was brand new to the saltwater hobby), and it took me a long time to realize how much he actually screwed me over. Definitely test items before taking them home.

Good luck with this sell Shaun, I have personally only heard great things about you and I agree that if someone wants to use PayPal then they should pay with FF
