I currently have a standard 29 gallon. I have a hob skimmer and fuge. The tank is currently dry with nothing in it. My question is should I drill and Sump or not?

Turn the tank and equip into sump and buy a bigger tank. If you already have hob stuff, just run it sumpless and paint the back of the tank to hide equipment. I ran a successful reef for years without a sump
I honestly wouldn’t bother running a sump with nano tank. It’s just added complexity and risk of leaking in exchange for minimal gain in convenience and appearance. For reference, I keep a skimmerless 20g long with sps and pretty much only do a one gallon water change each weekend (siphoning the sand) and manually dose a little bit of kalk solution daily to compensate for evaporation. Keep it simple, you won’t regret it.
I say no sump. I considered doing it to my 35 gallon, but the cost wasn’t worth it

Thanks guys. I guess I will plan on no Sump. The challenge is being able to minimize the in tank equipment being seen
