Full Reef Tank

We are looking to sell our full reef setup. We are located in North Escondido. We just do not have the time for the upkeep. It is an Innovative Marine 80 gallon reef tank complete with livestock. Over 5k invested. Looking to get 1500. We have gotten a lot of interest in the livestock and some of the equipment but we are not looking to part it out. At this point if we cannot sell it as a whole setup, we will just keep it. Thanks for looking

We don't know either but are hopeful. Parting it out sounds like a real pain in the booty. We will just end up keeping it if it does not sell. Figured it could not hurt to put feelers out there though

Honestly most people would buy that livestock and then you can part out from there

Or you could price it super low and someone will swoop it up.

Yes, everyone seems to want the livestock but we do not want to get rid of livestock and be left with an empty tank

In my opinion and from past experience, selling an entire set up isn’t the smartest thing to do for a buyer and the seller. There’s no point of doing that, as most likely some of the live stock will die in the transfer of tank and setting everything up. You’ll be better off selling live stock and tank separately. You will make more of your initial investments as well

I’m sure many people here would part it out under consignment for you. You wouldn’t make as much doing it yourself, but some of us are pretty used to selling to the community and could get fair prices for each item, especially on the livestock.

Thank you for the suggestion. We will keep that in mind We have a couple people coming out this week to look at the setup, sonic they do not pan out we can reevaluate. Have a great day
