Here’s a throw back to my last planted tank I had. Nothing special and this was an old shot of it before I added more plants and the thing really grew in.

      Setup:
      30 cube
      Eheim 2217
      Eheim Skim 350
      Current Satellite LED
      5lb Co2 Bottle
      Dosed Envy from Aquavitro

Super fun tank. I wish I had room for another planted.

Here's my old one back when I was 18 or so. I think it was a 20 gal. I've been trying to get the same vibe back with saltwater but macros are a lot more challenging to scape.

Wow that was definitely beautiful! Why don’t you have a planted anymore?

If you can do something like this with a saltwater tank you have some serious skills. That would be amazing!

Had the opportunity to have a reef again. I was doing planted for a bit because it worked better for my living situation. The little house I was renting in Fallbrook had major insulation issues. During summer it wouldn’t be uncommon for the inside of my house to reach the mid to high 90’s, my tank water to get up to the mid to high 80’s in temp. Freshwater was a little more forgiving when it came to the heat issue. Once I saved up enough for a chiller then I was able to go back to saltwater again. Planted tanks a super fun though. I wish I had a picture of it right before breaking it down. It was extremely filled in.

My wife wants me tear down my reef tank, because it’s has too many colors make her eyes dizzy!
My wife wants me to set a freshwater, because she think just strictly green looks a lot better than multicolors! Lol

Start her a nano tank. That’s how I got my girl to stop criticizing my tank habits 😂

This is my oddbal tank and angelfish grow out. It's a 40g breeder with a Ctenopoma, an African Butterfly Fish, 2 Senegal Bichir, an Albino Senegal Bichir, a Zebra Spiny Eel, an African Brown Knifefish, an Orange Seamed Pleco, a Candy Stripe Pleco (not sure if it really is one doesnt quite look like a l015 imo), an Asian Bumblebee Catfish, 4 Koi Angelfish, a Blue Pinoy Angelfish, and 5 Red Eyes Tetra. They will most likely be moved to a bigger tank in the winter when I am back for winter break, if they outgrow the 40g. But they're mostly over their growth spur. The Angels may or may not stay depending if they paired up or not. But yeah that is one of my freshwater tank

I have been battling this hair algae outbreak off and on for about 6 months. Any tips? I do water changes with RODI, have CO2, and dose iron. Lights on for about 6 hours/ day
