      Hanna alkalinity solvent

Hey guys just got my replacement Hanna checker solvent and my alkalinity has been relatively stable (around 7.9-8.9) and tonight I used the new solvent and it read 11.5... has anyone encountered a bad batch of solvent? Or what could be the problem? It’s not expired

Mine is pretty right on, and it was purchase this year. Want to bring over some water to test? I'm in San Marcos, towards the other end of 78.

Thanks for the offer. Tested again this morning and got 11.7. Going to pause dosing and do some tests tonight after work. I guess I can test my water change saltwater to see what the Hanna picks that up at. I’ll update after work.

I have bought reagents for the alk tester recently that had green floatys in it. I shook the reagent up before use, still showed good readings. Contacted Hanna and the sent me a new reagent but I had to pay shipping

Thanks drama. I shook it up after the first reading was high but didn’t notice any floaters. Going to run a test on my water change water and see what readings I get
