      How to cycle your tank...

I’ve always started with live rock when cycling a new tank.
      But not in this case.
I will be starting off with some clean dry rock and and dry sand.
I will fill it up with scrips water then do RSCP mix for water changes.

What do you guys use or do to start up a cycle ???

      I’ve used the MB7 before
But wondering what you guys have used and worked

Just added bacteria for a few weeks until the ammonia was all gone. Also fed the tank daily with fish food. Then added chaeto to the sump and all levels have been undetectable Since.

Aqua vitro "seed" follow the directions. Works great.
I have also used bio spira, nite out11 starter bacteria and stability. Fritz has some turbo start900 that I have heard good reviews about.
If I were to chose one it would be the aqua vitro seed or the fritz turbo 900. I have used all except the fritz with good results

I’ve always used Dr. Tim’s in the past, but I used a mix of that and some MB7 on my last tank and it worked well.

I've always just added a scoop of sand from an established tank, mine or someone I know.
That seeds any new dry sand and gets bacteria rolling.
