Not only aggressive, but they are lethal. One killed a hammer and a frog spawn. Be careful. Mushroom probably moved so it didn’t die.
Shrooms are anemones and some sting worse than others. Any mushroom near my yumas either dies or pulls in the edge closest. It’s weird though because you can touch shrooms with no effect, while euphyllias can sting pretty good sometimes. Let’s you know you’re alive when you brush up against one for sure!
Yeah like John said they're basically little anemones (kinda cousins if you get into the taxonomy) ...that's why you'll see them move around sometimes and yeah most deff they can be aggressive! I've had yumas sting some of my most aggressive corals including chalices, galaxea, and euphyllias!
Some are gonna be harsher than others and as with a lotta things in this hobby (and life lol) it's all good until it's not
Yumas are the worst followed by rics. The fuzzy types like that are semi aggressive but once they feel crowded may start to sting more aggressively.
Melafix dips and/or furan2 dips after cleaning a damaged shroom should prevent further melting/damage. Disco/coralimorphs shrooms are usually one of the least aggressive and tend to be the victims.
I feel like the anemone next to it has retracted too. Was really digging these things too. There's a little gold streak setosa and og mummy eye that it's getting close to. Will those definately lose? I need a bigger tank !
