Noticed this vids contains a shot of la jolla ca, red tides. Wonder if the scripts water can contribute to cyano in the home aquaria. It pops up in small patches from time to time in my tank and I use scripts. Hmmmm.

How to Get Rid of Cyanobacteria

Possibly, but It also pops up in plenty of systems that don’t use scripps water. Some people who use scripps water never have issues with cyano. Everytime we add something to the tank, we run the risk of adding undesirable things, whether it’s carried on a frag, fish, food or finger. Just as with hair algae, we have to ask ourselves what are we doing that provides the right conditions for cyano to thrive.
