      tank stand

Just got a nano frag tank built, and am going to build a plywood stand for it. I know 3/4'' ply would work no problem but its only about 7 gallons wondering if I can save a few bucks and go with 1/2'' ply? Thanks!

I personally have build some of my stands with 1/2” plywood tops. Both for rimmed and rimless tanks. Rimless tanks always had foam or a mat under them. I always braced my tanks well. I never had an issue. I’m assuming your tank is gonna be rimless?

Hey I don't know if this would fit what you need but I'm in Oceanside. I have a coralife biocube 14/16G stand for sale. Measures 15.75x15.5x29. I re-enforced the back of the stand with plywood. I was using the stand to hold equipment and no longer need since I setup a controller board. $40.

Dang I would defiantly pick this up but the tank is 20” wide.
