I’m working up in OC and am thinking about stopping by one or a few shops nearby. If anyone has any wish list that isn’t too crazy I’m willing to keep my eyes open for what you’re looking for. Just a thought

my 2 go 2 spots
Seaside Tropical Fish
Address: 21162 Beach Blvd, Huntington Beach, CA 92648
lots of fish. higher end corals. they have an indoor pond with rays and sharks too.
Reef Tropical Fish
Bing Local
1080 N State College Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92806
cheaper corals. they have a freaking lobster there lol
Tong's always has a nice selection of fish. Corals are pricey there though.
why do they have such horrible reviews online?
Yeah I’ve been to both. Was at seaside yesterday so I have an idea of what’s in stock
Corals at most shops are higher for some reason, while fish are ridiculously cheaper. Like up to 50-75% cheaper for some fish
Reviews on Yelp:
I bought a betta fish from here back in May. My fish only lasted for 14 weeks. I took great care of him, but he ended up being sick in the 14th week and died.
I should have taken the hint that my fish wouldn't last long when the people at the store couldn't even tell me how old he was.
DO NOT buy betta fish from here.
And
I bought 2 corals, one was dead and other died in 24 hours. I asked 3 workers before I bought the dead one, no one told me it was dead. I only realized after more closer inspection
tongs, often have sick or dead fish in tanks unfortunately. not comfortable buying fish there.
