Any links to the AI director info to see what the new version does vs the original director?

I don't believe there is a new version of the Director.

The wireless controller new version has soft buttons opposed to the original where the buttons were molded in on the hard plastic case

Wow I sold my director for 100 when I sold my hydras, and sold my controller that yes is wireless connection to the modules but needs to be connected to a power source box a cable for I think five bucks! Glws sale I understand these items no longer are produced but a 300 percent markup is steep!

The main value of the director is you can control both the HD and the older version(s) in the same interface. Apex (fusion) has an option now for connecting (without a module) to both AI models thru their “internet of things” which is in beta but promising- Glws- I wanted one for the longest time.

That wasn’t true when I had two hydra 52, and a singe 52hd the director would not pick up the hd

The wireless controller actually needs to be connected to a power cord to work and your prices are ridiculously high. Also the controller your showing is the old model

Right, the app I use for my HDs has the option to add a director, and the director connects to the original versions. The HDs don’t connect to the director, both versions connect using the (single) app interface. As it stands now, I have to control my HDs with the app and my orig 26s through a different controller.

Alright guys, cool your jets! The op's prices might be significantly higher than we're used to (us sd reefer peeps are spoiled though) but if you don't like what he's selling things for than just move on...let's also revisit the Commenting on Pricing sticky thread that says keep it to pm. The posted price might be more than you or I would wanna spend but that doesn't mean there isn't someone that it's worth it to them to spend that much (op you might wanna hit up eBay)

I heard something about that too but I think that's only gonna be for the hd models

Everyone overprices their stuff on here because we really have no idea what the current value of goods is at the moment. We aim high and people respond by offering what they’re willing to pay for them. Price too high and stuff sits on the shelf. Only the seller is affected by overpricing as long as the buyer knows and accepts the value of the merchandise.

Ok, let me say this: To some, thanks for clarifying the applicability. As for me, I have limited knowledge of the different AI models but I do know that these controllers won't work with the HD models - I believe those are controlled only through the MyAI app. They do work with the Hydra (non-hd) models and for some older lights, they work with the wireless adapter that plugs into the RCA jack on the fixtures. Non - HD models cannot be controlled via app or web without a controller. I don't know which models exactly so you will need to do your own research if you have a different model.

The wireless controller is the new version - do your research before you comment but please don't do it here. https://www.marinedepot.com/Aqua_Ill...LTACCT-vi.html

That said, please don't turn my post into a technical discussion thread and reserve your comments on the pricing (it's against the forum rules). If you find it cheaper elsewhere (assuming you find it at all), go for it - you really don't need to inform me about it.

If you have a particular question about either controller, I'll be happy to answer it, but I don't need opinions.

Feel free to make an offer if you're interested.

And thanks inurmind, yeah I'm fairly certain they'll eventually end up on flea bay if I don't opt to keep them.

I would offer you 40 for the wireless controller or 100 for both of them that's including the director and the controller
