I’m tired of my crushed coral dissolving.
As long as it’s rinsed, yes “safe.”
However, being made from something OTHER than a calcium-based rock it won’t have the PH-buffering effect that we want with calcium bases sand or crushed coral.
Also, I would never use crushed coral or gravel in any tank, especially in a reef.. I ALWAYS use sand - in both freshwater and saltwater. The finer substrate stays much cleaner.
