I was looking for the same fixture but decided to hold off on this one and see if I can pick up a more advance one. This one seems to have issues with the rubber bulb holders melting onto the bulbs, if you haven't read the reviews I would suggest looking into them and then decided. In the end, if the reviews doesn't change your minds then I say go for it. Best of luck, if you do end up getting one let me know how it does for you.

I was goin to buy this before I sold my hydras and bought the Giesemann but hated that the cords come out one on either side and they’re short (6ft) not to mention how it’s wired if one bulb goes out you loose an entire side. But I’m sure you’ve done your research and know that already. Good luck with find.

Longer cords can be installed and on different sides. I would be happy to do it if you leave the fixture with me for the weekend and buy the parts.

No, the melting will be on the T5’s. It’s a rubber boot that is supposed to be waterproof which it is. Don’t get me wrong, you can always change them out for turnable ones that the bulbs can go into. Lowe’s / Home Depot sells them for a few dollars and replacing them is like plug and play really. A little modification and the fixture is just as good. It’s more to power the T5’s then anything really.

I have the aquatic life 48” I can sell you but would need to look for the led adapter braces. I for sure have the kessil ones but may be using all the other braces in my new (60”) setup. you’re able to get them online if you need. Pm me if you’re interested & i’ll dig up what I can.

@bryannmc1988- Thanks for the tip on changing out the t5 clips- it is nerve wracking to change the bulbs on the fixture over the tank. I’ve read they don’t make them with the rubber clips anymore
