      Coral for classroom tank

I'm getting back in the hobby after about a 4 year hiatus. The tank is a nano I picked up from Ty (TYDY) and the tank is in my 5th grade classroom. The students are really excited that the tank has cycled and we now have a cleanup crew.and two softie frags. Looking to add more coral -zoas, shrooms, pulsing xenia, and octospawn, frogspawn, or hammer, just no sps.

This is a new experience for me, having a nano, the tank 20 miles from my house and no sticks. I don't want to spend too much money in case this proves to be too difficult so looking for frags with generous prices or even better, PIF.
      150g glass w/ corner overflow , 60g sump w/refugium, Eheim 1262 return, SRO 2000int skimmer, ATI Dimmable Sunpower 8x54w fixture, 2 Tunze 6105 and 2 tunze 6025 modded.

It’s been really cool to see the nano come together for Brian and donate a few things. Awesome to have so many people already offering.

I’ve got a couple more zoas and leathers just send me a text.

      Coral for classroom tank

If you’re ever around the cowles mountain area, I would be happy to shoot a zoa & green star polyp frag your way, free of charge.

Thank you all for your generous offers. I sent pms out to most of you last night. My school is in Mira Mesa, so if you are further South, hoping I can swing by next time I'm visiting my parents in Tierrasanta, which is usually on a weekend. If you are anywhere up near San Marcos -North County, hoping to meet up sooner.

You can have all of the above for free.
I don't think I have the lights for an LTA. If hammer is just-bleached, but healthy otherwise students might enjoy seeing it color back up. Do you know why its bleached and how long it's been that way? Have a frag of Kenya tree but wouldn't mind another. Maybe I can hit up you and Brandon0350 at same time since you are both in o'side.

I have a free frag of an orange monti setosa in mira mesa if you want to try. Should be able to handle pretty low light being a monti.

I have to say that this community of reefers is AMAZING! So many of you have offered to donate coral to my classroom tank. Kamil (Fish-farts) hooked me up, as did Ty (TYDY ) so the tank has frags of gsp, Kenya trees, leathers, hammer, and an anemone. The students had many questions which already led to a discussion on the anatomy of an anemone today. A few weeks ago the cycling period was discussed because they didn't understand as to why the tank had to sit empty w/o fish or coral.

I would still like to add the zoas, gorgs, pulsing xenia and mushrooms that were offered, if those members are still willing. I pm'd most yesterday it not all, on trying to meet up.

As a teacher, one of my goals is to inspire students to want to learn more, and with this tank in the class, I already see their inquisitive minds wanting to know more about our wonderful world of reefing. Many thanks to all of you who are helping me with this.

I will start than a thread in the members tanks section soon.
