Crusty is on the hunt for a tank

After stressing about scratching my 100 clear for life acrylic tank every time I clean it and having to refinish it everytime I do in spite of my best efforts, I’ve been mulling over swapping it out for a glass tank early next year that will fit the same 60” X 18” footprint or be a little smaller if miracles don’t happen. There in lies the problem. I’ve heard stories of mythical 125’s and even 150’s that have this footprint OR my other option is downgrading to a 90, which isn’t terrible or a 75 which is too much of a downgrade. So I’m going to throw this out there and see what happens: Anyone want to trade tank for tank or maybe sell me a tank that they have lying around and isn’t on the verge of seam failure? Just want to see what’s out there and the going rate.

Get a couple quotes from shops for the tank only with exact footprint.

That might be the best option and probably the priciest for one that fits exactly. Glass cages sells a 125 for $530. I can’t imagine how much that would cost to ship...

      ...Nevermind, It’s around $300

I went out window shopping today and it looks like I can get a tank made to my specs, tempered bottom, drilled, overflow installed for around $450 out the door. Let the tank money scrounging begin!
