      Coral feeding

In the spirit of the day today I thought I'd make a post answering a question I've been asked multiple times...

What do I feed my corals?

I do spot feeding with whatever frozen I'm feeding my fish atm (rods, reef frenzy, mysis, also occasionally cyclopeeze...)

But these are my go to for the occasional broadcast over the majority and spot feeding on my black (non-photosynthetic) corals

It's probably an overkill and you could probably go with just using reef roids and reef chilly but I've been doing this for a minute and have had good results...

      My old black garden

      What do you guys use?

Damn, that’s sick! Where did you find those green sun corals?

I’ve just started up with Dendros again and picked up some black sun corals at RAP. I’ve been using Poly Lab drops and Reef Roids but since I get in late, I’m too tired to dose on a regular schedule. You might have just remotivated me again though.

I rarely spot feed my tank just due to the fact that I am always busy with family and my daughter. I’ll spot feed the frag rack but that’s about it. I been using reef roofs and it’s been great. Mix up a cup full, turn off the return pump but leaving the MP40s running, spot feed the frags, then dump the cup into the tank and call it a day. SPS loves it but when it comes to softies, it’s a hit and miss in an sps dominated tank.
