I'm going to be downsizing from my 135 gallon to a 37 gallon AIO. This fish requires a tank of at least 125 gallons. So I'm going to have to part with my Copperband Butterfly, well established(I've had him about 7 months) he's about 5" or so. He eats well and is as fat as a Copperband could be I think. I've been feeding homemade food mostly a mix of whatever they have at the Asian store. But when I first got him he was eating LRS, Mysis and*Enriched Brine Shrimp.*He nips at Trachyphyllia, Favia, and Acans but left everything else in my tank alone. Basically likes to nip the more fleshy corals. I ended up removing the corals he was picking at before any losses so I don't really know if he would of ended up killing anything or just a nip here and there.
I QT corals and inverts for 45 days to starve out most common fish parasites. All the other fish in the tank got prophylactic treatment of copper and prazi and the CBB got TTM and a FW dip. So chances are good he is free of any parasites.
I want to make sure that he's going to someone that will take good care of him and keep him in an appropriate sized tank with appropriate tankmates. So let me know a little about your setup and how long you've been keeping saltwater fish. Thanks.
