Well we’re headed to the ugliest stage of the cycle. The Dreaded diatoms.

Another look under the hood with all the lights on. I also set up the auto top off today.

Looks great as usual...what are you thoughts about the quality of the Red Sea stands? I've been impressed with the overall look but I'm curious if those stands will hold up 5-10 years later.

I had mine for two years and loved it. That’s not 5-10 but I had absolutely zero issues with mine. It took a beating too with a infant - 3 year old growing around it he smashed all this toy into it not a single issue. Highly recommended!

Now that's a quality control test right there!

OK so I made my light decision. Just received three hydra 26 HD’s. Eventually I will have four but for now three will suffice. Been reading a lot about these lights and I think there going to be a good choice for the system. The program I plan on running is the sps ab+. I will post some pictures after I get them installed.

LOL. I just pull the trigger on seven of the baddest acros I’ve seen. One of which is the Walt Disney.

OK so I have these lights installed now. I’m using the BRS ab+ settings I found online. I’m getting 550 par in the middle of the tank. Pretty impressive.

I pulled the camera out to try to work on my photo taking skills. LOL. Here’s a few pictures I took this morning. I have about five starter SPS in the tank. Just to see if the new tank will support growth and coloration.

I got the control system installed last night. I had an extra Samsung tab laying around so I incorporated into this build. I’ll be able to control lighting and pretty much all other functions from this one location.

I had some extra time yesterday so I started working on the wire management in the control systems location. All the wiring will be neatly put back here. A Plexiglas panel will go directly in front. That’s where I will mount all the other Apex control modules. I will be placing a small shelf on the lower half of the front panel. There I will place the four head dosing pump. It’s temporary until I get the Apex dose. This is not a cheap hobby LOL.

I still need to pull the protective plastic off but I think it turned out very well. I may do below the shelf and down satin black above the shelf in a satin white. Thoughts?

Plexiglas installed. Magnets in place. Dosing pump in place. Now I just need to add color to the back of the panel. And maybe route my two been a little better.
