      Still seeing brown algae

      Help! It's been months and I'm still getting brown (also some pink) algae on the sand and glass on both of my tanks. I've reduced the amount of time that my lights are on and have always done consistent water changes with Scripps water. Took water in for testing and nothing stood out. Took out the carbon from my Aquaclear filter and now just have two Biomax bags in each filter. Tank temp is about 75. I don't know what else to do. Im constantly cleaning the glass and am finding pink loose/stringy algae on my rocks.

      Both tanks have been running for 7mo. Corals look happy...

      Have you tested your phosphates? Maybe look at your nitrates as well. What are you feeding and or dosing into your tank. Any fish? Bioload.
