      AEFW Eating Machine!

Hey everyone I have just trapped my flatworm eating Melanarus wrasse. I eluded to him in my previous thread and as I mentioned I went ahead and created another thread for him. He's well established and I've had him since he was a juve. Killer did a wonderful job eradicating/controlling my aefw population a while back but now it's time to say goodbye as he is harassing a small leopard wrasse I just purchased. That's the only catch. He's super friendly with every other fish including fairies and flashers except for Leopards I have found, which is common for Mel's apparently. But if A you like this fish or B have an out of control flatworm infestation I would pick this guy up without hesitation. Time is of the essence please as I will simply take him to LFS if nobody responds soon.

Sorry, he's super stressed out in the trap and a high energy fish and I don't put fish in my sump. I need to do this today. Thanks!

Gone! Thanks again Shaun. Glad he's going into a great new home and good luck with those new frags too. I really wanna come over soon for a visit to see the new setup. Does a six pack of some sort get me in the door? lol

Yeah man, the good thing is that this is fairly easy fish to find. You just have to get lucky to get one with a good attitude because some are nice but others can be complete a*#holes with certain other wrasses and inverts. Feed them well.

I concur!!! I have one that had absolutely eradicated any and all flatworms as well as bristle worms from my tank. He had never passed one up. Beware they pick at the sand therefore he dumps sand on any corals that a place near the sand bed. Nevertheless an absolute must have in any reef tank. I haven’t had any trouble with aggressiveness towards other fish.
