      Did these zoas die?

Finally added coral about three weeks ago and things are looking great except yesterday I noticed that these freebies that I got don't look like zoas anymore. Did they die and if so what could've been the cause? Everything else is doing great. Do I take these out?

You can see in the third pic that they were out and looking happy a day after I got them...

No. Try dipping them in either lugols iodine, melafox, revive, coral rx or something similar.
Rinse properly prior to placing back in the tank,
And move them.kower to the sand bed with a good med flow

Sometimes. If they come from a tank running different par pr type of lighting like t5, led or both then go to something completely different they can react that way.
Also in center of tank if that sandbed is turning red try to get more flow to hit that spot. Or grab a conch sand sifting statfish and some nassarius snails to stir the sand bed up. Just research on the starfish not sure old your tank is.

Thank you this was super helpful! I'll be looking into the starfish and snails this weekend and figure out the water flow.

Tank has been running since March.
