Chemi Pure Grande Filter Bags Ripping?

In the last 2 years these bags are disintegrating/ ripping within 4 months leaving my sump & tank riddled with loose carbon that has to be vacuumed out much less the sand bed be replaced. I have a 240g fowlr tank with a Moorish idol, regal angel, blue face, tusk and other high end fish. After 25 years using Boyds, I am boycotting Boyds Chemi-pure going forward, there are many other products out there. Anybody else in the same boat?

Have you researched new ownership, manufacturing company etc... maybe they are joining the rest of the world, mass production at minimal cost.

I use boyds chemi bags and bag my own and haven't had any issues, however I recently stopped using them and switched to a reactor.
4 months however seems like quite a while to leave a bag in there, or not?
