      Deltec skimmers

Does anyone have any experience with these skimmers. I have a euroreef skimmer and am considering a asm g4x. I have been noticing that there are also recirculating skimmers. Why can't people just make one killer skimmer and just leave it at that? Can I get some advice and knowledge for what the pro's and con's of these copycat/high-end/technical skimmers. How far must one REALLY go? This will be for probably a 240 to 300g tank. Thanks, Vinny
Your inability to comprehend just cracks me up!
Tanks are all gone. House never sounded so quiet. It's kind of a spooky kind of quiet. Pretty sweet though.

i like recirc skimmer because You can use the overflow to feed them and use the needlewheel pump to make bubbles. I really like that concept and think they are the most energy efficiant, but I might be wrong.
      I have a turbofloter 1000 BTW.

You get what you pay for, really. It's a lot like buying a car. Though if you compare an $800.00 skimmer against a $200.00 skimmer, you don't get 4 times the performance. What you do get is efficiency, less maintenance, longer shelf life, good resell value, etc. Bubble Kings, Deltecs, DAS, Tunzes, etc. are nice if you can afford it. If you got a sweet set up, may as well shell out the cash and get a sweet skimmer! I just got a Tunze 9020 and it blows the doors off Deltecs/DAS I've used.

The ASM will do you just fine when you get down to it. Especially if you re-circ mod it. However, The deltecs are "the best of the best" according to most people you talk to when it comes to efficiency, space, yada yada yada. Is it worth the HUGE amount of extra money? I don't know, but if you can afford a deltec, you pretty know you've got the best skimmer money can buy. And, yes, there are opinions on what the 'best' is, but take a trip to wet web media, and there is a guy on there who ran a bunch of tests. Deltec's are also constructed out of "fancier" acrylic, hence another reason for the high price. I have a modded ASM G2 and am quite happy with it. I just don't have the $800 to spare, but if I did (on a larger tank), I'd get the deltec.
