Anyone have any experience with the small computer style cooling fans?

I am building a canopy for a 120 gallon aquarium (48x24x24). I am going to need air flow going in and out of the canopy for the heat from lighting so i will need to install a fan or 2 on each side of the aquarium. I will also be putting in a small vent on the side as well.

My question is, has anyone had any experience with the small fans? I am obviously wanting as quiet as possible, but great performance. My main concern would be sound though. Also, i am looking for fans that are just install and plug and play with the ac plug cord already attached.

I found this one, but dont know anything about it, as there are no reviews for them:

Let me know what you guys suggest!

      Thank you,
      Neil

Living in lakeside... is your tank going in the garage or inside the house?

I live in el cajon with my 120 tank set up in the garage and wouldn't depend on a fan to keep my tank cool... use a chiller
if its placed inside the house, think room temp and a couple fans would help more

almost every fan has some sounds

for my 15 gallon tank inside, i only turn it on at night so it doesn't bother me all day and heater will kick in if its too low

I had them on my 120 canopy. I had two on each side. I got them from a computer store and they were plug and play with an ac cord. They were quiet can’t really hear them. In no way do they work like a chiller but i did notice it helped a tad bit. I used it mostly to keep the air moving inside the canopy so the heat from the light won’t be just sitting there.

Look for the lowest DB(decible level =sound) rating on the fan. Also compare it to the CFM. My fans are $4 from ebay. Quiet.

Plenty of good computer fans, just adapt the voltage.

I got one of these on Amazon. I can't tell if it's on without sticking my hand in front of it, very quiet.
