      algae eaters and cleaners

Got a question for you guys. I need to get some cleaners for my tank. I have a 50 gallon with some live rock a few fish an anemone and some corals. What critters should i get to clean the tank? I have 5 or so hermit crabs.

      thanks,
      Ron

dozen or two hermits, dozen snails or so.. ceriths, astreas, nass., turbos if you don't mind them being clusmy and knocking everything over. How old is your tank that you have fish/corals, and an anemone, but no cleaner crew?

my tank is about 6 months old but i added things slowly. I recently added some coral that gave me some funky looking algae. Thanks for the info. I need to get on that right away.

Sea hares work great for Hair algae...But I would definetly say that you could use some more snails and hermits too.

Can you describe what does this funky looking algae look like? I doubt the coral you added gave you algae. What water are you using for water change and top-off. How old are your bulbs?

The bulbs are new and I'm using purified water to top off. I'm almost positive i got it from a frag i bought off someone. No big deal just one of those things that happens. It looks like green hairs and fuzz. Any help would be great, thanks.
