      Fish ID

Anyone have an idea of what kind of wrasse this is? It was sold to me as a blue star. It looks a good different than what I can find on the internet.

Just to clarify, are you guys saying that it is the meleagris species of the leopard wrasse family? https://m.liveaquaria.com/product/pr...339&pcatid=339 The pattern near the tail is what looks like a male bipartitus to me. https://m.liveaquaria.com/product/pr...304&pcatid=304

What is the tell that it’s a melagris? (Btw- I’m not the seller... got no skin in the game)

The bipartitus has stripes on the body behind the head, where the meleagris's pattern breaks up into a sort of mixed pattern. Both are similar, both are nice. One is just a bit more rare.

Thanks for the feedback. Looking at everyone's post, it's definately not a Blue Diamond Leopard Wrasse...those seem to have continuous lines on its face, where as mine has broken lines. But the rest of the markings don't look like the Leopard Wrasse/Maleagris. Id really like to find the female that goes with it.
