      Nuvo 10 cloudy

Hey guys. So I downgraded from my 90gal and set up a nuvo 10. It’s been running for over a month. I have like 9 pounds of real reef rock, 10 pounds of sand, 2 snails. I recently started the ghost skimmer which isn’t pulling anything out. First chamber I have a media rack with floss, then chemi pure, then rowaphos. Last Friday my ammonia and nitrate were zero. Did a water change, but a couple days ago my tank got pretty cloudy and still is. Any ideas? I’m thinking a bacteria bloom and should clear up on its own? Water smells kind of weird too. I’ll test again tomorrow and water change Friday. I’m just not too familiar with pico/AIO tanks and would appreciate any advice. Also, tank is constantly 78 with an AI prime. Also, will chemi pure help for phosphates? Is it overkill with the rowaphos as well? It’s possible that I have too much rowaphos.

Most likely a bacteria bloom bro. Do you have any fish in there yet?

No fish. Was going to get a pair of clowns Friday, but now i think I’ll wait. I put some frozen food in there to see if maybe the skimmer will skim. But that was tonight.

Ya, I would wait to add any live stock. During the bloom the oxygen level in the tank will drop. It should clear up in about a week, gets really smelly also... My tank went through a bloom when I started biopellets.
