Looking for help with Mr. Aqua 12 long version 2.0

      Hello all!

Thanks to this forum, I was fortunate enough to get my hands on a brand new Mr. Aqua 12 long. I currently have one up and running and has been for the last 4 years and it has been through a lot. I have moved this tank, dealt with a year of a GHA take over, lost fish, lost coral, etc. The tank does not have a sump, just a pico skim 2.0 and a AquaClear 70 that runs various things like CPE or Purigen or whatever is needed at the time.

Now that I have this new 12 long, I want to drill it and sump it. Issue here is, I have never drilled a tank, nor ever had a sump. While I understand the basics of how it all works, I'm not 100% certain I can do it all myself. Probably can get something basic up and running, but in all honesty, I want to over-engineer the **** out of this thing. I want to so it right, so I'm still in the research phase of equipment and plumbing. From what I can tell, I want to go the PVC route, get a 15-20 gallon sump, and I know I want the ability to have auto-dosers running. I know I am probably over thinking some aspects, and not at all considering other aspects, so please feel free to share any and all opinions.

So with that said, is there anyone who would want to help me build Mr. Aqua 12 v.2.0? Any help can be compensated with beers, frags of my limited coral, eternal gratitude and friendship. Anything from suggestions on what to buy to actually helping drill, plumb, transfer tanks is all appreciated.

Ideally I would have it up and running by June 4 (I leave the country for 10 days June 6) but I know that means working fast, like really fast...so if that works for anyone, great, if not, I'd be happy to start after I get back and if someone is willing to help later, I would much rather wait!

      Thank you all so much!

Considering this for the overflow: https://synergyreef.com/product/16-shadow-overflow/

Not sure what I need in terms of a sump.

I've seen this tank, and seemingly it's the gold standard of the 12 long, but I don't love the way he set up the drain and return/not sure it would work with my stand.

      Thank you though!

I certainly like the price more! Any particular reason why? It does have a smaller footprint which is great with the limited space.

True. But as I understand it, the shadow is a bean animal overflow which is basically a silent and sure fire safest overflow vs this which is a Herbie style? I'm not 100% I'm right on this, so please tell me if I'm wrong.

I have one already drilled $50 If you want it, I'll throw in a 10g stank for a sump and comes with plumbing, diy stand and return

      I agree
My current set up IM30g is drilled with this overflow and it’s a clean look & quiet.
