      Well i never test for nitrates but a new acro i got started bleaching. I tested for nitrates and they were zero despite feeding 3 times a day. As seen on brs tv they are having the same problem in their 160. I ordered some brightwell neonitro to get some nitrates in my tank.

      Ive decided to go ultra low maintenance. I removed filter socks and the protein skimmer. I still have no detectable nitrates. My chaeto ball is massive! Amazing what that stuff does. My phosphates were .03 last triton test. Will post any diff after next round of testing. I do see some algae starting to form on rocks that wasnt there before so i know there are some nitrates in there. Acros are growing nicely. Only neg i have noticed is the purple plating sponge that has always thrived in my tank didnt look happy. My wwc og bounce dropped a baby!
