My new build started jan 18

I upgraded my 50 aio to this 125 with 35 gal sump. All the live rock was transferred but new sand was used instead of the old. My acros r small for i had lost many of them due to an alk spike before the transfer. I had a few survive that i cut down to the base. Enjoy the pics.

I only run carbon and have two types of macro that eat up the nutrients. I dose alk calc 2 part every hour and use scripps water. Alk 8 calc 440ish mag 1400ish. I feed my fish 3 times a day and dose phyto twice a week. Mag is added thru topoff but thinking of dosing this daily to keep things more consistent. I add iodine as per triton instructions. I dont do water changes to lower nutrients but rather to replenish the good stuff from the ocean. I only do around 10gal a week. My phosphates per the last few triton tests were about .05.

Awesome upgrade, love the big clam. I don’t see enough that size in people’s tanks nowadays.

+ 1 on all of the above. Curious as to where your nitrates are at? I use scripps too and have been struggling with nitrates lately.

I have it set up in the garage as my quarantine tank. Got a powder blue in there now hoping to add him to the tank soon.

Never test for nitrates but i feed a lot so there has to be some. My acros are strarting to take off. Last triton test phosphates were down to .02 with no gfo.
