Just got some yesterday, good to go!
Yes. Haven't seen any notice that we can't the past few days ago.

I’m headed out in a day or two to fill up 4 55 gallon drums ... if anyone has Some buckets or whatever they need filling let me know. I’m in Chula Vista. Random , but it’s my understanding that scippls water is cycled so there’s not nitrate cycle for a new tank? This correct?
I'm not certain if the Pacific Ocean has cycled yet, but that is where this water comes from. It should contain some bacteria and possible nitrates and phosphates because it comes from the ocean. It has been sand filtered to remove some of the larger particles, but sometimes folks have found small chunks of seaweed or other detritus in the water that flows out of the hose.
Based only upon your question + your join date: Putting this water in a new tank does not mean the new tank and water will be cycled. It helps, but Scripps water is not an instant tank cycle by any means.
Ocean water or new mix water needs to be cycled in a new tank setup... They both can test for zero nitrates and phosphates...those develope through cycling...Cycling is just building enough BBs to match your bioload to help eliminate them. No bioload then no nitrates and phosphates..

Thanks for input, a few people I’ve talked to said Scripps water is cycled and ready to add fish right away(for new tank). Found that sketchy so figured I’d ask around here. It’s amazing how much bad info people will pass on.
You can add fish right away to NSW or Ocean water..but there is not enough benefial bacteria. So new tanks whether NSW or scripps has to go through the cycling process for whatever bioload you put in the tank..the point is the BB needs to be there.

Scrip shut down water it is now open today
It is not available. Just went. Still says out of service. Also the hose is gone
The water is no longer right by the pier anymore if that's where you're looking... It's been moved up the street... look for the other post for location.
I know. I was at the new location in the parking lot. It's still taped up. Hose was removed.
