About the Job: The Aquarium Service Technician will interact with our customers offering quality, personalized, reliable and knowledgeable aquarium services. Identify fish, coral, invertebrate and plant health requirements and compatibility in order to educate our customers on a continued basis. Implement safe driving practices while driving to and from services/installations. Use the effective processes from your training to keep accurate records of services, testing water parameters, evaluating livestock, and checking equipment.

Applicant must:

Live in or be willing to move to San Diego, California to be a part of our team.

The candidate will be required to maintain a consistent look and feel for our brand.

Experience and interest in aquarium husbandry, aquarium design, aquarium installation is a bonus.

Communicate well. The applicant will be working with a variety of clients each and every day.

Be organized. You'll be involved in a wide variety of projects on a daily and weekly basis.

Be reliable. You've got to come through, whether simply showing up for work on time or nurturing a project successfully from beginning to end.

Be willing to put in the time. This position requires extensive on the job training that will take many months. You need to want to learn. You will work on and be apart of creating world class aquariums. You will intimately learn about all of the systems, equipment, marine and freshwater inhabitants and successful husbandry protocols. You will become a world class expert in ALL aspects relating to aquarium husbandry.

Be cool. Seriously, this is a tough job, but it's pretty amazing at the same time. We all work hard, but we're making something we absolutely love and are proud to be a part of. This position is integral to our business and we are looking for a long term employee. You will have the opportunity to be creative and be a part of the team! The position provides plenty of opportunity, but that opportunity comes with a responsibility to embrace it all. A negative attitude isn't a plus.


Requirements:

Valid California Drivers License
Aquarium hobbyist experience (Reef Aquarium experience is a plus)
Passionate about aquariums
Must be able to lift and carry 5 gallon buckets weighing about 50 pounds throughout the work day. Bend over to perform aquarium husbandry. Climb and work from a ladder.
