hitchhiker clam?

So, I've had an empty trochus shell grow something white on it. Never paid it any attention until it slowly appeared out of the rockwork. Never saw it open up until today! started recording then it moved. Any idea what it is?

lol. it didn't have a mouth until today. i was like damn is this a clam so i started recorded. then when it move i was like *******!

I have this thing hitchhiking on my Trocus .. thought it was some funky snail tumor .. then it realized it opens it’s mouth like my maxima minus the mantle sticking out.

Haha that's like mine except it's an empty shell. I'm thinking maybe there was a seedling that attached to the trochus

I’ve had it for over 6 months now and he’s still kicking. Haven’t seen any growth, when the shells clamped shut it blends right in with the snail shell pattern. With that said the trocus sticks out like the elephant man when he’s next to his homies in the tank.
