      Moving to Chicago area

I got a promotion! Unfortunately, that means leaving San Diego for SW Chicagoland. I'm looking for advice for my 150g & 20g systems.

Does anyone know if there is a forum similar to this for Chicago? SD Reefs has been very valuable while I have been learning over the last 2 years.
-- (Edit) I found ChicagoReefs.com. Does anyone have experience with that forum?

Once the movers pack, it will be at least 10 days before I see the equipment again - then set-up, etc.
Is it even worth trying to save/ship corals & fish, or should I just plan on starting over?

Does anyone have experience with LFS for Chicago area? Who should I frequent or avoid?

      Any other suggestions or advice?

      Thank you all in advance.

      David

      Congratulations on the promotion.
10 Days is about 8 days too long if you are going to DYI the move with live animals. It would be easier to start over and a lot less stress.

If you are certain you are going to move then it would be easiest to sell everything and start over. If you have specimens that you can't replace and are not willing to part with, then you should arrange for those animals to be housed here and then forwarded to you once you have an established system in Chicago.

BTW; No you can't borrow my truck, and I have no almost no room in my tanks except maybe I could squeeze in your WD colony .
