Bryopsis & Gha

Hey all, I’ve been reading on RC about a solution to the algaes mentioned in the title. It’s a medication named flucanazole. Haven’t seen any discusssion about it on SDR so let’s start. “They” swear that it will kill bryopsis & gha in 10-14 days with no side efffects on coral or fish! Seeing as I have a couple of patches I decided to give it a go. I used 200 mg capsules dissolved in tank water. The suggested dose is 200mg per ten gallons so I used six.

Too early to tell much but most of it is turning white & floating away, just thought that this is useful info.

Seen it, done it, it worked. There's a giant thread/poll on r2r. Keep in mind it doesn't always work in 14 days so be patient

Unbalanced med but it’s the same stuff ( 200 mg flucanazole )

Ya basically those douches bought and dried up the market so they could rebrand and sell it

Duncan i have a huge problem on algae right now mite also try this on my reef! You have any left? Lol I'll buy it! I only have a 25 gallon tank. Let me know bro need to do this soon.

Doesn't always work on gha but will definitely kill bryopsis. Sometimes another dose is needed
