      Lighting question

I'm getting ready to make the jump from FOWLR to reef and was wondering how many hours per day is it recommended to leave your lights on? (will be mostly shrooms and some lps)

depends how far your lights are from the tank, and what kind of lights they are.

I guess around 8 hours is a good start. Can do more or less depending on how things react. And before you ask, it doesn't matter too much when your 8 hours are, my lights go on from around 4pm to 12am. Others have theirs on during the daytime. A good thing to buy if you don't already have it is a simple timer for your lights. Easier for you, better for your fish and corals.
