Anybody know how to kill pulsing xenia.

So I have had this pulsing xenia since I started this hobby 4 years ago. At first I thought it was cool but now I just hate it and I cant get it off of my rocks. I have manually chipped it off which I find works the best but there are some rocks that I cannot remove to do that. I can pull it off and suck it out but it just comes back in a week.

I have heard of kalk paste but I dont want to do that because I am afraid to do that. Anybody have any suggestions? Also have the same problem for this green paly.

      Thanks for the input guys

I wish I knew how lol.

Your best bet will be a file fish. Just make sure you don’t have any other softies, or anything with a fleshy skin

Cut it as close to the rock as you can, then use coral putty to smother the stump.

Hi Carlos I am in oceanside. The ones I have now are small I had bucketfulls that I gave away you are late to the party my friend! I think I am going to try and inject aptasia x into the body and see what that does. Good idea with the putty I am going to try that also.

I have had 3 filefish none of them ate this xenia, just all the other coral I didnt want them to eat lol.

      Thanks for the suggestions!

I used to take tweezers grab the stalk as close to the rock and wiggle until I pulled it off the rock. Worked for pruning until I decided to try ulns and they all died
